New Native Plant Garden for the Teten House

New Native Plant Garden for the Teten House

The Native Plant Club at the San Dieguito Academy (SDA) has been busy preparing the ground and planting native plants as part of an exciting new project at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum. The project, which is funded by a generous grant from the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club, will expand the Native Plants exhibit behind the Teten House. The project will also include signage identifying the plants and an ADA-compliant walkway so that the garden is accessible to all visitors. The San Diego Heritage Museum would like to thank the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club for their generous grant and SDA’s Native Plant Club for all their hard work and dedication to this project.  Visitors are encouraged to come visit the Native Garden and take a tour of the museum and the 1885 Teten House on Fridays and Saturdays 12:00-4:00 at 450 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas.
