JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL MEETING at the Osuna Ranch

Please join us as we reflect on this last year, and we look forward to celebrating this coming year with new events and activities. 

 

We are honored to have author and historian Fred Grand as our speaker at this year’s AGM.  Fred has served as president of the Old Town Chamber of Commerce for over two decades and as Director of Community Engagement for Descendants of Early San Diego.  Fred is a direct descendant of Corporal Juan Ismerio Osuna, a Leather Jacket Soldier who accompanied Junipero Serra to San Diego in 1769.  Corporal Osuna’s son, Juan Maria Osuna was the first mayor of San Diego and the recipient of the Spanish Land Grant for Rancho San Dieguito, present-day Rancho Santa Fe.

Fred is also a descendant of Valera Alto of San Pasqual, a Kumeyaay who married into the Osuna family. Therefore, he is a proud member of the Kumeyaay Nation of indigenous people of San Diego.  You will not want to miss this unique chance to hear Fred.

We will host the Annual Meeting at the Osuna Ranch on April 27, 2024 from 12 noon to 3 pm.  The cost is $20 per person.  

 

We would appreciate it if you could respond quickly as seating is limited.  We also request that you carpool if possible as parking is also limited.  Light refreshments will be served.
