BECOME A VOLUNTEER!
Our volunteers are the life blood of the museum. Whatever your talents and interests, we can find ways for you to help in ways that are meaningful, fun and interesting to you! Here are some areas we currently need volunteer help:
SCHOOL TOURS
We need several people to assist with our school tours. Tours take place 9:00-11:30 on 1-2 weeksdays during the school year. Volunteers assist with one of the following activities – butter making and bartering; Native American story telling and sand painting; and tours of the Museum.
MUSEUM GUIDES/DOCENTS
Museum guides provide tours to visitors of our Museum building, Teten House and exterior exhibits. The Museum is open four afternoons a week 12:00-4:00 but guides/docents can volunteer as little as two afternoons a month.
Training is provided.
GARDENING AND LANDSCAPING
The Heritage Ranch is a beautiful site with maturing Native landscaping. You can help further beautify our site by assisting with gardening and landscaping.
MAINTENANCE
You can also help maintain our historic buildings and exhibits.
EVENTS
The Heritage Ranch holds several fun community events during the year. Volunteers are needed in planning the events and on the day of the event.
WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA MASTER
We are looking for a volunteer or intern with experience in marketing through social media to promote our events and activities. Much of the work can be completed from your home.
